University and region working hand in hand:

Cranach Campus Communities

What is it about?

The project "University and Region Hand in Hand: Cranach Campus Communities (CCC)" is a model project within the framework of the funding initiative "Strengthening the Absorption Capacity of Funding in Structurally Weak Areas." The objective is to further develop the LCC educational campus in a focused manner in order to promote the areas of business, education, and innovation in the region even more. The strategic regional development concept of the Kronach district serves as a guideline for this.

What are we doing?

Innovation communities at the LCC

Our innovation communities bring together key players from universities, business, education, and civil society to actively shape regional development.

In the Students@Work community, we build bridges between students and regional employers and promote practical experience, skilled labor retention, and long-term prospects in Kronach. Methodically guided workshops initiate future-oriented projects and strengthen the connection between studies and careers.

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovation community focuses on building a strong network of SMEs, science, and education. Practical training opportunities and applied AI projects support companies in innovation, efficiency, and sustainability. At the same time, we contribute to the further development of Kronach as a center of education and innovation and help secure skilled workers in the region.

FabLab communities at the LCC

Our FabLab communities open up creative spaces where technology, art, and social engagement come together. They invite people to develop, design, and showcase ideas from the region together.

The Kronach leuchtet community creates light art projects with social relevance that combine creativity, technology, and community.

The art community brings creative processes to life through open formats, joint projects, and artistic collaboration.

In the 3D printing community, we bring regional ideas to life with the help of modern manufacturing technologies and promote collaborative learning, experimentation, and innovation in the FabLab.
