FAQs
This degree program is perfect for you if you want to actively help shape the digital future of our society and feel at home at the intersection of technology, people, and the environment.
You’ve come to the right place if you:
- Want to shape digitalization with a human touch: You’re interested in new technologies (such as AI, smart city concepts, or digital networks), but you always want to use them for the benefit of society and the region.
- Think interdisciplinarily: You don’t want to limit yourself to a single discipline, but are passionate about the combination of IT, social sciences, sustainability, business, and innovation.
- Want to find solutions to real-world problems: Whether it’s smart mobility, sustainable urban and regional development, or digital administration—you enjoy working on concrete issues that shape the future.
- Value a personalized learning environment: At the Lucas Cranach Campus, you’ll benefit from small study groups, direct contact with faculty, and strong connections with regional partners and companies.
Possible career paths after graduation: As a graduate, you’ll help shape the digital and sustainable world of tomorrow—for example, as a transformation manager, smart city consultant, innovation coach, or project manager in municipalities, companies, associations, and NGOs.
The program itself is tuition-free! Since these are state-funded degree programs (at Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Hof University of Applied Sciences), there are no tuition fees.
You only need to pay a standard semester fee each semester. This fee consists of the contribution to the Oberfranken Student Services Organization and the semester pass for public transportation.
Note: You can find up-to-date information on the exact amount of the semester fee on the websites of Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Hof University of Applied Sciences.
Courses are offered in a hybrid format:
- In-person: On consecutive weekends at the Kronach campus (Lucas Cranach Campus / Hof University of Applied Sciences).
- Online: Supplementary lectures are held digitally on weekday afternoons.
This format offers maximum flexibility, allowing you to organize your studies in the best possible way.
