Before Christmas, Hans Rebhan, chairman of our Lucas Cranach Campus Foundation, was awarded the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany by Joachim Herrmann, Minister of the Interior and Local Government—one of the highest honors bestowed by the Federal Republic of Germany.
For decades, Hans Rebhan has been a symbol of tireless dedication and visionary commitment to our region. Particularly impressive is his contribution to the establishment of the LCC, which has made Kronach a center of higher education. As chairman of the LCC Foundation, he is passionately committed to developing innovative educational and economic concepts that strengthen our region in the long term. 
His commitment extends far beyond the LCC: whether on the district council—as the longest-serving district council member in the Kronach district—at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, or as a co-founder and long-time board spokesperson for the Innovation Center Region Kronach e.V., Hans Rebhan demonstrates how volunteer work can shape the community.
