Young Leaders Shape the Future at the Lucas Cranach Campus
From November 22 to 24, 30 socially engaged young people from all over Germany came to Kronach to participate in the ZukunftsForum organized by young leaders GmbH at the Lucas Cranach Campus (LCC). Through workshops and discussions, they explored the topic “Higher Education in the Future” and gained insights into the innovative opportunities offered by the LCC.
The participants—who serve as student body presidents, group leaders, or youth coaches—impressed Hans Rebhan, chairman of the LCC Foundation: “Their commitment to the common good is not something to be taken for granted. We’re delighted to show them the exciting prospects of studying in Kronach.”
In various workshops, the young people gained valuable insights for their academic and career planning. Prof. Dirk Reinel from Hof University of Applied Sciences taught the basics of data analysis. Prof. Sophia Frank and Prof. Christian Zagel from Coburg University of Applied Sciences worked with the participants on the future skills that will be crucial for their future academic and professional fields. In the Futures Thinking workshop led by Ines Kaerleber and Daniel Reinhart from the LCC Foundation, the young people discovered their individual strengths and interests. These practical topics also reflected the innovative degree programs offered by the LCC, such as “Future Design” and “Applied Digital Transformation.”
In the Future Lounge, regional experts such as Spotify manager Julian Göller and future designer Tobias Leisgang presented their visions. Participant Raphael Cullmann was enthusiastic: “The modern workshops and technologies here make studying practical and unique.”
In the end, it was clear: The weekend was an enriching experience—some participants are now seriously considering studying at the LCC.
